Come join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and Mosaic Ecology for a day of planting large native species at a unique site along the slough! We will also install cages around these plants to deter beavers and nutria.
In order to ensure your comfort and safety, please remember to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and be ready to get dirty!
All tools, gloves, and training to do the task is provided.
Getting there: We will meet at the Parkrose Boat Launch in this area. Dead end of NE 112th Ave just north of NE Marx Pl. Taking public transportation? Trimet Line #21 drops you off at NE Sandy and NE 112th, Walk two blocks north on NE 112th to reach the event, OR Trimet Line #87 drops you off at NE Marx Ln and NE 105th Ave, from here walk east on NE Marx to NE 112th and then go North on 112th one block to the event.
Accessibility: This event will involve bending and stooping to dig and plant on soft, uneven ground. There will be no restroom on site.
